Day 1: Mfuwe > South Luangwa National Park Arrive Mfuwe and transfer via colourful local villages to Nkwali Camp, overlooking the South Luangawa National Park plains. Evening game drives. All rooms have a view of the river and open air bathrooms. The game in this area is excellent , and includes many family herds of elephants and the endemic Thornicroft Giraffe.
Day 2: South Luangwa National Park Start with a drive of approx. 90 kms to the Mupamadzi River to the mobile camp. The camp is already set up with well-equipped walk-in tents. Relax around camp, and then head off for an afternoon walk.
Day 3: South Luangwa National Park Up early for the morning walk in the remote and wild terrain experiencing everything from ants to buffalo along the way. You will learn the many facets of the busy from your expert guide. The mobile camp is packed up and moved to its new location, awaiting your arrival. Siesta and sundowners when you reach your next destination.
Day 4 > 6: South Luangwa National Park Explore the area on foot and on Day 5 the camp will be moved again as you walk further down river. The Mupamadzi River is a major tributary of the Luangwa. All walks are led by an experienced naturalist and accompanied by an armed game scout.
Day 7: South Luangwa National Park After an early breakfast, it is approximately 4 to 5 hours' drive to the Luangway River crossing point, thereafter a 20 minute drive to camp. Overnight at Tena Tena Camp and refresh after your mobile walking safari.
Day 8: South Luangwa National Park > Mfuwe You will be transferred to Mfuwe Airport for your onward flights.
