Other retreats available: Helicopter Adventure May 1st - October 20th This adventure is for people of all ages who are looking to explore 50,000 square miles of extraordinary wilderness with their own helicopter. Our pilots/guides will take you to 10,000 year old glaciers, mountain tops, old growth forests, white sand beaches, waterfalls, pristine lakes, remote islands, isolated rivers, and cultural museums. At each location you may find yourself heli-hiking, swimming, rafting, drifting, fishing, learning, playing, taking photos, or wildlife viewing. This adventure is tailored to the specific desires of each group, and the possibilities are truly endless.

Heli-fly Fishing July 19th - October 20th This adventure is for the experienced fly-fisher person as well as those who want to learn. We recommend that fly-fishers bring their own rods and reels, but Nimmo Bay have equipment should you need it. Your guide is well versed in fly fishing and will take you to isolated streams filled with wild Pacific Salmon (Coho, Pinks, Chinook), Steelhead, Dolly Varden Char and Trout (Rainbow, and Cutthroat). Your helicopter stays with you all day and provides access to 50,000 square miles of terrain, including over 50 isolated rivers and streams. With Nimmo Bay Heli-Fly Fishing, you'll always be where the fish are. Before you head out on your first fly fishing adventure, you're invite you to take part in a personal fly fishing lesson off the dock. At Nimmo Bay, they practice catch and release using single barbless hooks.

Day 1: Vancouver > Nimmo Bay Resort(D) Depart Vancouver for Port Hardy on a Pacific Coastal Airlines flight. On arrival, helicopters will meet you and transfer you to Nimmo Bay resort. This luxurious resort is located in the middle of the Great Bear Rainforest in British Columbia.

Days 2-3: Nimmo Bay Resort (B,L,D) Enjoy full days (10am - 5pm) of adventure activities (included). Choose from yoga classes, kayaking, boating, paddle boarding, hiking, snorkelling, whale watching, bear watching and more.

Day 4: Nimmo Bay Resort > Vancouver (B,L) Enjoy another full day of adventure activities (included). Transfer by helicopter back to Port Hardy airport before an evening flight back to Vancouver.

If 5 day itinerary is chosen, you will enjoy another full day of adventure activities.

The resort supplies many items you need. Please pack as little as possible (approximately 15.8 Kilos) per person. No square suitcases please. Bags should be no longer than 91 cm in any direction.
