Bear Viewing at Hallo Bay

Bear Viewing at Hallo Bay

Multi Day Options - Roundtrip Homer

Price from$1,034

Travel to Hallo Bay, Alaska's premier location for bear viewing, located on the Pacific coast of Katmai National Park.

Spring grasses, coastal seafood 'buffets' and multiple salmon runs combine to attract the highest concentration of coastal grizzly (or brown bears) in Alaska. From May to early July the brown bears are engaged in complex, fascinating mating behaviors, digging clams in the inter tidal areas and grazing on the inter-tidal sedge flats. In mid July the first of the salmon runs began arriving and the bears began changing their diet to that of salmon. Subsequent spawning runs of different species of salmon continue into October. All this combines for one of the best bear viewing experiences available in North America.

Guests stay in a comfortable cabins with shared baths and hot showers and join fellow travellers for family style dining.
