An exceptional journey showcasing the highlights of Italy, from picturesque Italian villages and the iconic sites of Rome to the canals of Venice. Cruise to Dubrovnik, well known as the 'jewel' of the Adriatic with its well preserved city walls and beautiful harbour. Continuing south we delight in the Ionian island of Corfu before sailing to Italy visiting Naples, Rome and Livorno. On to jet set Monte Carlo before we visit St Tropez. Mon 24 Aug: Australia > Singapore We fly to Singapore and overnight.
Tue 25 Aug: Singapore > Milan Full day at leisure in Singapore until our evening transfer to the airport for the overnight flight to Italy.
Wed 26 Aug: Milan > Cinque Terre (D) We arrive Milan, and drive to the Italian Riviera where we stay near to the villages of the Cinque Terre. Rest of day at leisure until our welcome dinner early this evening.
Thu 27 Aug: Cinque Terre (B,L) Today we will explore the famous five villages of the Cinque Terre with our local guide.
Fri 28 Aug: Cinque Terre (B) A day at leisure in this charming area of Italy.
Sat 29 Aug: Cinque Terre > Lake Como (B) We drive north through the pretty Ligurian countryside and into the alpine scenery of northern Italy to Lake Como where we stay at one of the lakeside villages.
Sun 30 Aug: Lake Como (B,D) Today we have included ferry passes on the central lake area so we can explore these historical and beautiful villages and palaces that make Lake Como so special. We dine at a local restaurant this evening.
Mon 31 Aug: Lake Como > Venice (B) We leave the mountains of the north for the magical city of Venice where we stay overnight.
Tue 01 Sep: Venice (B,D) This morning we will have a tour of Venice including a gondola ride. This afternoon we board our ship ms Nieuw Amsterdam, which sails late this evening.
Wed 02 Sep: At Sea (B,L,D) We sail the Adriatic today - a great opportunity to explore all that our ship has to offer or simply relax.
Thu 03 Sep: Dubrovnik (B,L,D) This "Jewel of the Adriatic" on the Dalmatian Coast is rich in Baroque, Gothic and Renaissance architecture. The medieval city is encircled by 14th century walls and massive guard towers, and the carefully preserved old town features marble-paved squares, cobbled streets and splendid churches, palaces, monasteries and fountains.
Fri 04 Sep: Kotor (B,L,D) Kotor is located along one of Montenegro's most beautiful bays. First settled during the days of ancient Rome, the city today has a well preserved urban centre with a vibrant community. Medieval architecture and numerous monuments of cultural heritage have made Kotor a UNESCO listed "World Natural and Historical Heritage Site."
Sat 05 Sep: Corfu (B,L,D) Vineyards and olive orchards thrive amid rocky mountains on this westernmost Greek isle. Horse drawn carriages for hire lead tours of the Liston, a galleria of open-air cafés and alluring shops.

Mon 07 Sep: Naples (Amalfi Coast, Isle of Capri) (B,L,D) Naples is one of the world's greatest cultural centres, filled with extraordinary works of art and architecture in the classical Greek and Roman styles. Sightseeing options abound such as a visit to Pompeii, one of the most famous excavation sites in the world; a short boat trip to the entrancing Isle of Capri; or drive along the Amalfi Coast - with its ocean views and beautiful vistas, it's one of the most breathtaking stretches of road in the world.
Tue 08 Sep: Rome (B,L,D) In the Eternal City of Rome, Italy you can explore some of the world's most famous churches, monuments and fountains: the Colosseum, the Sistine Chapel, Vatican City, the Spanish Steps and Trevi Fountain (toss a coin in the fountain to ensure your return). Sip cappuccino at a cafe in a piazza or window-shop among the high-fashion boutiques of Via Condotti.
Wed 09 Sep: Livorno (Pisa/Florence) (B,L,D) From the port city of Livorno, Italy, the riches of this remarkable region are revealed. An optional trip to Florence, with a stop at the leaning Tower of Pisa en route, provides some unforgettable experiences, including the Piazza del Duomo with its grand cathedral. Florence is home to the fascinating art treasures of the Italian Renaissance - works by Botticelli, Da Vinci and Michelangelo. A highlight is a visit to the Accademia Gallery, which houses Michelangelo's famous statue of David.
Thu 10 Sep: Monte Carlo (B,L,D) The principality of Monaco is the essence of the Riviera: couture fashion, grand yachts and nightlife centered around its famed Casino.
Fri 11 Sep: St. Tropez (B,L,D) Spend the day in jet set St Tropez. Sweeping views of the coast can be seen from the 16th-century citadel or claim a chair in a quayside café and watch the flirtatious French Riviera pass by.
Sat 12 Sep: Barcelona (B,L,D) We arrive into Barcelona this afternoon and spend our last night on board.
Sun 13 Sep: Barcelona (B) We disembark in Barcelona this morning and enjoy an orientation half day city tour of Barcelona. Check into your centrally located hotel this afternoon.
Mon 14 Sep: Barcelona (B,D) This morning we will have a tour of Barcelona including the Barceloneta, the Gothic Quarter and Gaudi's Museum. This evening we enjoy our farewell dinner starting with the obligatory tapas of course!
Tue 15 Sep: Barcelona > Singapore (B) Morning transfer to the airport for our flight to Singapore.
Wed 16 Sep: Singapore > Australia Arrive into Singapore this morning and take our connecting flight to Australia, arriving this evening.
