Explore Southern Africa, starting with a luxury rail journey on the famous Blue Train from Pretoria through the heart of South Africa ending in Cape Town. A stop at the Kimberley Mine is made en route. Spend time in the Mother City, Cape Town, before heading to the spectacular dunes of Namibia's Sossusvlei, and go on safari in Etosha National Park. A three night stay in the incredible Okavango Delta is a magical experience, followed by Chobe National Park with its huge elephant herds and finally witnessing the majestic Victoria Falls to complete a superb itinerary.

Mon 11 May Perth - Johannesburg (B) Today is at leisure in Perth. Fly to Johannesburg on an overnight flight. (Perth passengers join at Perth Airport)
Tue 12 May Johannesburg - Pretoria On arrival in Johannesburg, we are transferred to the Jacaranda city - Pretoria, for an overnight.
Wed 13 May Pretoria - Cape Town by Blue Train (B,L,D) Board the luxurious Blue Train bound for Cape Town, via Kimberley. Unwind and relax while soaking up the scenery and history of this famous route.
Thu 14 May Cape Winelands (B) Upon arrival of the Blue Train we will be met and transferred to Franschhoek in the Cape Winelands.
Fri 15 May Cape Winelands (B) We tour the charming country towns of Paarl, Stellenbosch and Franschhoek with the beautiful backdrop of the Hottentots Mountains behind. Visit Nelson Mandela's "Walk to Freedom" monument and indulge in wine tastings, cheese tasting and a cellar tour.
Sat 16 May Cape Town (B) Transfer to Cape Town and your waterfront hotel. Afternoon tour to Robben Island and weather permitting, cable car to the top of the city's iconic Table Mountain.
Sun 17 May Cape Town (B) Morning at leisure. Afternoon tour to Cape Point, said to be the romantic meeting point of the two great oceans.
Mon 18 May Cape Town - Sossusvlei (B,D) We fly to Windhoek, Namibia and on arrival meet our Namibian guide and drive to Sossusvlei arriving this afternoon.
Tue 19 May Sossusvlei (B,L,D) The sand dunes of Sossusvlei are the famous highlight of the Namib Desert and a photographer's dream! We take a drive by 4WD into the dunes, some of which are over 300m high. Optional walk to the Dead Vlei, one of the most photographed spots in Namibia. Enjoy sundowners to toast the incredible Namibian night sky.
Wed 20 May Sossusvlei - Swakopmund (B,L,D) We travel through the Kuiseb Canyon and Namib Naukluft Park to Swakopmund - an important port during the German colonial period. The town's architecture is testament to its European heritage.
Thu 21 May Swakopmund - Damaraland (B,L,D) Heading further north, via a visit to the Cape Cross seal colony and the Brandberg Mountain into one of the most geographically diverse places in Africa, Damaraland.
Fri 22 May Damaraland (B,L,D) We game drive today into the vast Damaraland concession, where your sightings may include endemic species such as Hartmann's zebra and desert-adapted black rhino.
Sat 23 May Damaraland - Etosha (B,L,D) We continue our journey to the Etosha National Park - the "Great White Place". We take our first night game drive this evening from our Etosha lodge.
Sun 24 May Etosha National Park (B,L,D) Morning and afternoon game drives in the National Park in open 4x4 safari vehicles.
Mon 25 May Etosha - Windhoek (B,L,D) Today we travel to the capital of Windhoek, with its interesting mix of Germanic influences. En route we stop at the Africat Foundation, where we learn about the cheetah rehabilitation projects of Namibia. Farewell dinner to Namibia.
Tue 26 May Windhoek - Maun - Okavango Delta (B,D) We fly to Maun, via Johannesburg before a short transfer by light aircraft into the heart of the Okavango Delta. Early evening we will have our first game viewing excursion in the Delta from our luxury camp.
Wed 27 - Thu 28 May Okavango Delta (B,L,D) The Okavango's unique inland delta offers an abundance of game viewing opportunities. Experience game viewing not only by vehicle but also by motorboat and mekoro (canoe). You can also enjoy an afternoon of fishing whilst keeping an eye out for the many bird varieties present in the Okavango.
Fri 29 May Okavango - Chobe National Park (B,L,D) After a morning safari, we will travel by air to Kasane and transfer to our safari lodge, with its magnificent panorama over the river. Enjoy a cocktail this evening as the African sun sets.
Sat 30 May Chobe National Park (B,L,D) Chobe is renowned as Elephant Country with large herds enjoying the river. To watch a mother cross the river with her calf hanging on to her is a marvellous experience. We will enjoy game viewing by safari vehicle and by boat.
Sun 31 May Chobe - Victoria Falls (B) Transfer to Victoria Falls and spend two nights at the legendary Victoria Falls Hotel. This afternoon we will take a "Sundowner" cruise on the Zambezi River.
Mon 01 Jun Victoria Falls (B) Morning tour of the Falls - known as the "smoke that thunders" - a simply spectacular sight! This afternoon is at leisure, perhaps take an optional helicopter flight over the falls or a tour to the Zambian side of the Victoria Falls (Optional and must be pre-booked).
Tue 02 Jun Victoria Falls - Johannesburg - Perth (B) After breakfast we will transfer to Victoria Falls Airport, for our flight to Johannesburg and connection to Perth.
Wed 03 Jun Perth - Sydney/Melbourne/Brisbane Arrive Perth and connect to your flight to Sydney/Melbourne/Perth. (Perth passengers leave on arrival in Perth)
